Those who want to encourage others with this study may find some of these ideas useful:
-
Organize a Bible study, discussion, debate or mock jury to consider the question of who wrote the fourth gospel and the evidence on the beloved disciple that has been preserved for us in the Biblical record. (If you would like to have the author of this book on the beloved disciple visit your group or church to speak on or debate this matter you can email info@tdwjl.com and we will contact you about scheduling.)
-
If you participate in forums or chat rooms on Biblical topics, then whenever you can post the question, “Who was the disciple whom Jesus loved”? and post a link to this beloved disciple Bible study. The more links that point to this site, the easier it will be for others to find this teaching in the future. You can tie the link to:
http://www.the-beloved-disciple.com/
http://www.the-beloved-disciple.com/beloved_disciple_who_jesus_loved/
or any other page on this site that you’d like people see first.
-
Ask your newspaper's religion editor to review The Disciple Whom Jesus Loved and if there is a local Christian newspaper in your area, then also ask them to do a story about this book. Likewise, if you subscribe to any Christian magazines or Biblical journals, then encourage them to do a review of this beloved disciple Bible study. Or, if they're willing to do a point/counterpoint type article, then they could find a scholar to defend the idea that John wrote the Gospel of John and the author would write a piece of the same length to explain why this teaching is not Biblical.
-
Printing the books is the biggest expense. So if you use the printer-friendly feature to print of copies of this Bible study to share with others that would be a great help. Or consider printing out a copy of one particular chapter from the study and give it to a friend or pastor to encourage them to take up the challenge presented by this study.
-
Use your computer to burn CDs of the sermon on the beloved disciple and the other tracks on the Listen Online page to share with others. Audio CD's are cheap to ship and it is easier for some people to listen to a CD than to find time to read a book.
-
Put a note about this web site in your church bulletin. Tell your friends about the book and this site. Word of mouth recommendations help because those who hear about the book from a friend will be more likely to give this matter serious consideration.
-
Take a moment to send us your comments and let us know if this insight has helped you to appreciate God's Word more and what effect this is having on your Bible study habits. Your feedback would be encouraging and greatly appreciated.

Pray for God to bless those who have read this study and have been willing to let go of their tradition in response to the truth that they have discovered in the scripture. Also, please pray that the Lord would enable the author to write more Bible-only based study books that would draw people closer to the Bible and would continue to correct erroneous traditions.
